The department of the Val-de-Marne is happy to receive the only test taking place
in France of the World cup of female sword.
With through this international competition which gathers the high world level of
this discipline, and particularly four individual French medal-holders and by team of
the last Olympic Games of Athens, whose Val-de-Marnaise Laura Flessel-Colovic
the general Council intends to reaffirm its support for the female sporting practice.
In margin of this event where iron catches of very high level are awaited,
the Department appreciates the will of the organizers to associate sport of mass
and elite sport, in particular through the organization of a tournament of sword for
the young people. This tournament made it possible to gather them in a number
and to create in the Val-de-Marne a passion for the fencing.
In comparison with the conveyed values and awaited emotions, the general
Council naturally assists in its the realization of this event.
